If you notice these signs on your body, consult a doctor immediately! Here’s why

A Herald Spot is an early indication of pityriasis rosea, a common and harmless skin condition. This initial patch appears as a single, oval, scaly lesion, typically on the trunk. It may be mistaken for a fungal infection or eczema.

The Spread of the Rash
Within 5 to 15 days, a more extensive rash emerges, consisting of multiple smaller, scaly spots. These spots usually form along the body’s cleavage lines, creating a Christmas tree-like pattern on the back. The rash is primarily found on the trunk and upper limbs and may cause mild itching.

Is It Serious?
Though the rash can appear alarming, pityriasis rosea is not life-threatening and generally resolves within 6 to 8 weeks. The exact cause remains unclear but is suspected to be viral. Keeping the skin moisturized and avoiding irritants can help ease discomfort. If symptoms persist, consulting a dermatologist is recommended.
